Boris Schatz is a Ukrainian graphic artist born in 1922 in Kyiv. He worked in the field of easel and book graphics, watercolors and posters. In the late 1950s, the artist created a series of watercolors and lithographs on the theme of Taras Shevchenko's works and life. Some of these works are included in the exhibition of the Taras Shevchenko Museum in Kyiv. Since 1957 B.Z. Shats has participated in republican, all-Union and foreign art exhibitions. The artist's works are represented in Kharkiv, Dnipro, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa art museums, Vinnytsia, Volyn, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, Rivne, Kherson, Cherkasy local history museums, the Ukrainian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, and other museum, gallery and private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
